What’s your favorite store bought protein/nutrition bar? A couple that come to mind for me are the LaraBar and thinkThin bars (specifically the white chocolate). I love the simplicity of the LaraBar — just nuts and fruit and I love the protein content (20 grams) of the thinkThin bar. Either one of these make a great gluten-free snack or an emergency meal replacement when nothing else is available.
If you find yourself being just a little adventurous, you can even make your own bars. These Chocolate Cranberry Power Bars from the one and only Elana’s Pantry would easily satiate any snackers appetite. Simple ingredients and a relatively simple preparation make these a great, healthy, and of course, gluten-free option.

My boys and their friends loved these bars and gobbled them up during spring break, when our house was boys central…”
