I love the push lately to make Valentine’s Day an “at home” event and focus more on doing things (like cooking) for each other and less about the traditional events like flowers (extremely overpriced and sub-par quality on Valentine’s Day) and going out to overcrowded restaurants. In fact, my wife and I made a pact a long time ago to not celebrate Valentine’s Day on February 14, but on April 18. February 14 has no real significance for us, but April 18 was the day we met — to us, this was a far better time to celebrate our love for each other. It’s our own personal Valentine’s Day.

Personal opinion aside, and for those of you indulging in some Valentine’s Day festivities tomorrow — you might like this wonderful menu that Udi’s has come up with. It’s a full three course gluten-free meal that will surely please your significant other.
